Led the development of OLX Europe’s internal ML platform,
standardizing how data scientists and ML engineers build,
deploy, and operate ML models. Managed a cross-functional
“special forces” MLOps team (platform + ML engineering),
owning system architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery
of new capabilities.
Contributed significantly to the DS/ML community through
mentoring and upskilling programs, organizing hackathons
and learnathons, serving as lead editor of the OLX tech
blog, and representing OLX at conferences, meetups, and
within the Prosus group.
Led multiple high-impact initiatives, including a large-scale duplicate-image detection system covering 95% of OLX inventory (processing ~250 images/sec) and a production inference infrastructure for image-based models capable of serving ~200 images/sec.
